Scenario: Revlon has decided to put their public relations account into review:

You are working in the new business department of smallgirlsPR, and your boss, Bianca Caampued, one of the founders of the agency, just read the article about the review launching, and the question is – should smallgirlsPR try to get in the review? She’s assigned you the task to come up with a quick pros and cons POV about the review.

What kinds of questions should you be looking for to fill in the pros and cons?

  • Do we have experience in the category?

  • Do we have experience with the target customer?

  • Where is the account located? Can we service the account easily?

  • Is their business in good shape?

  • Is the category in good shape?

  • Is this a stable client with a track record of staying with agencies for five years or

  • more, or do they change agencies every 12 – 18 months?

  • Do they have a history of doing good creative? Any awards?

  • If we were to get this account, how would this help us get other business? Is there a

  • parent company that owns other brands?

  • Is the account too big/too small for us?

  • Do we know who the competitors might be?

  • Any other plusses or minuses for going after the account?
